In line with predictions that Congress would begin to review marijuana law are beginning to come true.
Congress must pass an “omnibus spending bill” to keep the government funded through the fiscal year. In its current form, the bill appears to relax federal enforcement of marijuana laws in most states that have legalized marijuana for medical or recreational use.
But while one hand giveth, the other taketh away. In this case, it appears that Congress may “taketh” the toke from residents of D.C., frustrating the will of the voters there who voted to decriminalize. [Read more…]
